Eine Gruppe engagierter, leidenschaftlicher Lehrer – und ein etwas unbeholfener Direktor – kommen in einer öffentlichen Schule in Philadelphia zusammen, wo sie trotz aller Widrigkeiten entschlossen sind, ihren Schülern zu helfen, im Leben erfolgreich zu sein. Obwohl diese unglaublichen Pädagogen in der Unterzahl und unterfinanziert sind, lieben sie, was sie tun – auch wenn sie die nicht so tolle Einstellung des Schulbezirks zur Erziehung von Kindern nicht verstehen.
