Patricia Foster (Doris Day) ist Kosmetikexpertin der Firma Femina Cosmetic . Von ihrem Chef, dem exzentrischen Sir Jason Fox (Edward Mulhare) wird sie mit dem Diebstahl einer Formel für wasserfestes Haarspray beauftragt.
