Marty McFly und Doc Brown starten wieder durch. Gerade erst von seiner ersten Zeitreise zurückgekehrt, wartet bereits eine neue Mission: Doc Brown erfährt auf einem Kurztripp ins Jahr 2015, dass Martys Kinder in höchster Gefahr sind. Also nichts wie hin und die Sache wieder gerade biegen. Leider dreht Marty ein wenig zu heftig am Rad der Geschichte und der fiese Biff wird durch einen Fehler zu einem der einflussreichsten Oberschurken. Nur eine Reise in die Vergangenheit kann den Schaden wieder beheben – oder führt zu einem totalen Chaos in Zeit und Raum.
